Our story
It started with my dad’s little book.
My dad paid his bills online for years. As his health declined, so did his memory for the usernames and passwords behind every account. I already had power of attorney, but power of attorney doesn’t log you in.
Then one day, going through a drawer, I found it: a little book with every username and password, in his handwriting. With it, I could take over his bills and look after my parents’ finances. That little book made my life so much easier.
My dad passed away in 2026. Settling his estate taught me the second lesson: none of this happens by itself, and nobody hands you a manual.
So I made the records I wish we’d had:
The Household Record is the little book, done properly: accounts, passwords and bills, written down while everyone is well.
See The Household RecordThe Estate Record walks whoever settles the estate through it, step by step.
See The Estate RecordThe Safety Record exists because a caller claiming to be “Microsoft” once talked my dad into letting him into his laptop. They sounded that convincing. Nobody is too careful to be fooled.

And for restaurants and shops with no IT department, The Small Business Cyber Survival Guide covers cybersecurity in plain English.
I’ve lived every one of these. I can’t take the hard parts away, but I can help you skip the mistakes I made.
